Confirmation

Confirmation

Confirmation is the sacrament that completes the initiation into the faith begun at Baptism. It calls us to be missionaries; not always on a large scale, but starting first in our families, our workplaces and our relationships with others we may meet in our communities.

In a special way, it imparts the Holy Spirit on the person being Confirmed, empowering them to go out in the world and share the Gospel, as Christ asked all of His followers to do.

  • Confirmation for Teens

According to the Archdiocese of Seattle, Faith Formation of students wishing to be confirmed must complete remote (birth to 3rd grade) preparation, proximate (3rd to sixth grade) preparation and an immediate (7th grade to adult) preparation. Confirmation preparation at the Proto-Cathedral is open to all Catholics in 7th grade who have completed their proximate preparation and are part of registered families.
